Location: Nundah, QLD

Position: Motor Mechanic

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose mechanical faults in vehicle engines, transmissions, steering systems, and other components using specialised testing equipment and diagnostic tools.
  • Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, gearboxes, and steering systems to identify faults and assess component condition.
  • Repair or replace worn, damaged, or defective parts, ensuring all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
  • Conduct routine maintenance services such as oil changes, filter replacements, fluid top-ups, and adjustments to enhance vehicle performance and meet environmental compliance requirements.
  • Reassemble engines and mechanical parts accurately after repairs, ensuring optimal function and reliability.
  • Test and adjust repaired components and systems to ensure correct performance, using both manual methods and computerised diagnostic equipment.
  • Perform detailed vehicle inspections to identify potential issues and ensure vehicles meet roadworthy standards; may issue or prepare reports for roadworthiness certification.
  • Provide customers with clear and professional advice on required repairs, ongoing maintenance needs, and vehicle care recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate service records, diagnostic reports, and job cards to ensure transparency and compliance with workshop standards.
  • Monitor stock levels of commonly used parts and assist in ordering supplies to maintain workshop efficiency.
  • Uphold a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment in line with OH&S regulations.
Skills and Experience Required:
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience as a Motor Mechanic.
  • AQF bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
Salary: $70,000 – $80,000 plus superannuation per annum

Employment Type: Full-Time (38 hours per week)
