About the Position
The Civil Engineering Supervisor at Mawson Constructions will play a pivotal role in overseeing the design, execution, and maintenance of civil engineering projects. This position involves creating technical drawings, conducting site surveys, testing materials, and ensuring projects meet budgetary and regulatory standards.

The supervisor will lead fieldwork, inspections, and maintenance efforts while maintaining clear communication with team members to deliver projects efficiently and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed sketches, charts, and designs for civil engineering projects, including drainage systems, roads, bridges, and water supply networks.
Develop and revise technical drawings and plans using CAD software.
Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to project requirements, site conditions, and material specifications.
Perform calculations to support design specifications and project cost estimates.
Conduct and oversee fieldwork, including site surveys and inspections.
Perform laboratory testing of construction materials and soils to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Collect and analyze traffic survey data to inform project designs.
Estimate quantities and costs of materials required for construction.
Ensure projects adhere to budgets, technical specifications, and regulatory requirements.
Inspect civil engineering works during and after construction to verify compliance with plans and safety standards.
Organize and supervise maintenance and repair work on completed structures.
Interpret work instructions and communicate effectively with team members for accurate project execution.

Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation throughout all project phases.

Requirements

Qualifications: Minimum of a Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.

Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, including project supervision, technical design, and fieldwork.

Proficiency in CAD software for technical drawings and design.
Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and project calculations.
Expertise in conducting site surveys, inspections, and material testing.
Ability to manage budgets and estimate material costs accurately.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills for project coordination.

Knowledge of Australian regulatory and safety standards in civil construction.
