What the day will look like

This role is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of health insurance clients within Health & Benefits, across specific industry sectors; by supporting the delivery of solutions that meet agreed client outcomes.

Reporting to the Client Director, key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a portfolio of Health Insurance clients, including annual reviews and market tenders (as required)
  • Working collaboratively within the Health & Benefits team, to share health insurance subject matter expertise; as required.
  • Utilising membership/claims data and analytics to provide insights to clients and support wellbeing and marketing strategies across health
  • Growth of existing book of business through internal and external new business prospecting.
  • Engagement and negotiation with health insurers, to achieve the best outcomes for Aon clients. Designing and executing service plans to deliver superior client outcomes, aligning to client need
  • Developing appropriate solutions to meet client needs resulting in improved client outcomes and retention.
  • Working collaboratively with Aon colleagues across the broader business, to bring best in class solutions for Aon clients.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • 5 + years experience working in health insurance, either for an Australian health insurer, or for a consulting/insurance broking company.
  • Have superior time management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects projects/deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent writing skills, high level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to manage large amounts of information.
  • An understanding of broader insured employee benefits including salary continuance, life and total and permanent disablement.
  • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, in-house designed databases).
  • Promotes and facilitates effective two-way communication, both within the organisation and externally, and able to positively influence key decision makers.
  • Experience facilitating wellbeing initiatives across a range of clients.
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills, with demonstrated ability to engage in person and virtually to launch Health Insurance benefit to employee groups
  • Aptitude and interest in broadening skillset outside of Health Insurance to incorporate other lines of Health and Benefits business such as Life insurance and Expat Medical
