Senior Case Manager
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and administering a portfolio of complex cases, providing technical leadership, and ensuring compliance with legislative obligations.
- Manage and administer a portfolio of complex cases, mainly dealing with Death and TPD (Total Permanent Disability) cases
- Hybrid working opportunity, 2 days on-site in Melbourne CBD, 3 days WFH
- $120,000 per annum inclusive of 12% Super
What you'll do:
As a Senior Case Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting members during difficult times. Your primary responsibility will be to manage and administer a portfolio of complex cases such as escalated or disputed Total Permanent Disability (TPD) and Income Protection (IP) insurance claims, Death (D) and Terminal Illness (TI) claims with or without insurance cover, family law claims and early release payments.You will also provide technical leadership to your team while overseeing escalations to resolve complex insurance product matters. Your ability to investigate, solution, and remediate complaints, incidents, and escalated issues will be crucial in this role.
- Manage and administer a portfolio of claims, including escalated or disputed TPD, IP, D, TI and family law or early release payment claim.
- Provide expert case management for escalated complex or disputed claims in collaboration with the Technical Manager Protect.
- Review the accuracy and reasonableness of trustee recommendations prepared by other team members and provide approval for payment processing.

Your detailed knowledge of the claims process & applicable insurance policies including legacy insurers will be crucial in this role.Your high-level interpersonal skills will enable you to build trust and rapport with internal and external stakeholders, while your resilience will help you thrive under pressure in a changing work environment.
- 3 years life insurance claims experience, preferably within a customer-focused superannuation environment.
- Detailed expertise knowledge of the claims process & applicable insurance policies including legacy insurers.
- High-level interpersonal skills with proven ability to build trust and rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
- Resilience and proven ability to work under pressure in a changing work environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to liaise with members, insurer and other stakeholders.
- RG146 qualification highly desired
