SP SUPERMARKETS PTY LTD t/as IGA Avoca is seeking a Full-time Retail Manager to join our team in a very busy and friendly working environment. To be considered for this role, the candidate must be able to work well independently as well as a member of a team in fast paced environment.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Analyse and forecast daily, weekly and/or monthly sales figures to maximise profits.
  • Maximise sales turnover and profit working to grow the business in order to support the business’ ongoing financial viability.
  • Ensure effective systems for cash handling and retail banking are in place, reviewing and updating business processes as necessary.
  • Prepare financial, operational, employee performance reports to the Director. Advise and initiate changes to improve the business.
  • Organize and implement sales promotional and any marketing activities in conjunction with the operations and ensure that the setup is in line with operational policies and successful.
  • Manage and monitor inventory levels and stock control.
  • Oversee the implementation of customer service standards, and ensure customer satisfaction and efficient handling of complaints.
  • Identify current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements
  • Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate all employees. Manage and motivate the team to increase sales and ensure efficiency.
  • Ensuring cleanliness throughout the shop and compliance to Occupational Health and Safety are achieved.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Relevant Qualification
  • At least 1 year previous experiences in similar roles
  • Fast learner to understand and apply new knowledge and techniques

Must have:

  • Good work ethic and technical skills
  • Complying to OHS Standards
  • Good communicator, ability to work with other trades
  • Strong eye for detail
  • Relevant work experience

Salary: The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $70,000 - $85,000, plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
