Business Analyst – Insurance

The Aon Australia Commercial Risk Product and Platforms team are looking for a Business Analyst. As a Business Analyst at Aon, you will play a crucial role in digitising our business model to enable accelerated growth, improved service quality, and increased client satisfaction.

This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both from home and from our Sydney office.

What the day will look like

As a Business Analyst within the Platforms team, you will enable the ongoing development of Aon’s strategic placement platform. You will use your Business Analysis skills to understand the key business and user needs that could be solved or improved through platform development or platform improvements.

Post delivery you will play a critical role in the testing of the platform solutions to ensure alignment to agreed scope.

  • Working with business stakeholders, insurers, and other members of the broking team to document requirements for new or existing products and product changes, including fixes
  • Produce Business Analysis requirements and design documentation to support the Information Technology (IT) build process particularly around nominated products, including Vertex, Advance, Sunrise and Broking led SPS including Marine, Motor, Rural and A&H
  • Create mockups for products for Product SME signoff
  • Develop functional/non-functional specifications and/or user stories that design and document desired acceptance criteria
  • Work with end users to conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure the development outputs comply with the original requirements and functional specification.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • Exposure and knowledge of General Insurance processes
  • 3-5 years of Business Analyst experience in eliciting business, functional and non-functional requirements gathering.
  • Ability to clearly articulate and document business requirements
  • Strong stakeholder management.
  • Proven track record in facilitating elicitation sessions.
