ROLE SNAPSHOT
Application Support Analyst role responsible for supporting internal users (brokers) who are using the new Insurance quoting platform.
Team-based role involving considerable collaboration, problem solving, and end-user interaction.
Responsibilities include:
- Investigate, analyse, and diagnose application-related issues to identify root causes.
- Collaborate with (and escalate to) development teams to resolve technical issues as needed.
- Identify existing issues or opportunities for enhancements.
- Incident Management through to resolution.
- User training - including creating training manuals / content, FAQ, running webinars, new staff onboarding etc
- Maintain knowledge-based articles, including application dependencies, configurations, troubleshooting steps, and issue resolution.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE / BACKGROUND / QUALITIES:
Suitable for an Application Support professional with proven experience triaging, troubleshoot and resolving software-related issues inside the Financial Services industry.
Suitable for a candidate who is an ex-broker and looking to get into tech, or an Application Support candidate with an interest in broking / insurance / trading.
The following is required:
- Proven Application/Software Support experience with the triage & troubleshooting of software-related issues,
- Background supporting broker, superannuation or financial planning related applications is advantageous.
- Strong communicator who can work directly with non-technical stakeholders, but also be able to translate information to the development team
- SQL and/or Java systems experience is beneficial.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills who can clearly articulate thoughts/concepts.
- Able to operate in a flat team structure and be flexible/adaptable.
- Friendly and approachable personality.
