AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.

We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.

You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.

And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.

Since early 2006, AWS has provided companies of all sizes with an infrastructure platform in the cloud. Using AWS, companies can requisition compute power, storage, and other services – gaining access to a global computing infrastructure that is the backbone of Amazon.com’s multi-billion dollar retail business.

Today, AWS provides a highly reliable, scalable, low-cost infrastructure platform in the cloud that powers millions of active monthly customers from start-ups to multi-national corporations to governments.

The AWS Enterprise Networking Team enables the connectivity needs for hundreds of thousands of Amazon employees and AWS data center corporate network customers around the world. This organization develops and operates the platform that Amazon's businesses rely on to grow and scale by leveraging AWS Cloud Infrastructure where-ever possible.

This platform is industry-leading for its efficiency, throughput, scalability, reliability and intelligence and this network is fundamental to the success of Amazon.com and AWS.

AWS Enterprise Networking Team is looking for Software Development Engineers to build monitoring and automation software for one of the world’s largest enterprise networks. The engineers within our team are instrumental in allowing us to drive the stability and sustainability of our next-generation networks and to discover innovative ways to automate and scale our network as we expand globally over hundreds of corporate offices.

Key job responsibilities

This is an excellent opportunity to join Amazon's world class technical teams, working with some of the best and brightest engineers while also developing your skills and furthering your career within one of the most innovative and progressive technology companies anywhere.
  • You are interested in being part of a high-bar team with global responsibility for the Network Provisioning and Automation software used across all of Amazon’s businesses.
  • Solving problems at scale excites you.

  • You do not push just one technology agenda – you choose the best tool for the problem at hand.
  • You believe that the craft of software engineering is about writing code right the first time. For you, code reviews and automated testing are not chores – they are a core part of writing great software.
  • You do not throw your code over the wall. You launch it, own it, support it and make it incrementally better for the benefit of customers.
  • You enjoy working in a flexible, fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
