Field Service Technician
The Company
Our client is a globally recognised leader in actuator technology and automation solutions, delivering critical systems across Water, Wastewater, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Power Generation industries. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking a qualified Field Service Technician to join their team.
The Role
Based out of the Brendale office, you will play a key role in delivering on-site technical support, servicing, commissioning, and maintenance of actuator systems and associated equipment.
You will be part of a high-performing national service team, often working directly on customer sites and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. This role includes regular travel around Brisbane, including occasional short-notice assignments across various industrial sites.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect, diagnose, repair, and commission electric actuators on-site.
- Perform mechanical and electrical installations, including adaptions and retrofits.
- Conduct actuator health checks and upgrades.
- Complete accurate site visit and service reports.
- Prepare and submit expense claims and documentation in a timely manner.
- Develop risk assessments and update method statements as needed.
- Support workshop repairs and detailed valve surveys when required.
- Provide basic technical training to customers.
- Identify potential business opportunities during site visits.
- Maintain company vehicle in good working order.
- Trade qualified with an unrestricted QLD electrical license is essential
- Proven experience in mechanical/electrical engineering, preferably in a field service role.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
- Willingness to undergo training (e.g. Working at Heights, Confined Space, First Aid).
- Comfortable with travel commitments and customer site requirements.
- Full driver’s license is essential.
