Melbourne Teaching Health Clinics (MTHC) is a non-for-profit, wholly owned subsidiary of the University of Melbourne and provides world class clinical training opportunities for the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences students.It also provides patient access to high quality health care for members of the Victorian community, within a private practice setting. There are six clinical areas that are central to this service, and they include general medical practice, dentistry, optometry, audiology, speech pathology and psychology

About Melbourne Dental Clinic
The Melbourne Dental Clinic (MDC) supervises the graduate and postgraduate students from the Melbourne Dental School to deliver dental services under the supervision of leading dental practitioners in Melbourne. We also have a private dental practice with fully qualified dental practitioners.

About the role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Orthodontist to join the team at Melbourne Dental Clinic. As an Orthodontist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality orthodontic care to our patients, utilising your specialised skills and knowledge to help them achieve their desired smile.
All applications considered.What we're looking for (Essential Selection Criteria)
A recognised postgraduate qualification in Orthodontics, a current registration as an Orthodontist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).Strong clinical and diagnostic skills, with the ability to develop effective treatment plans and critically analyse complex cases through advanced problem-solving.
Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
A strong commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care supported by exceptional patient and stakeholder management skills demonstrated through clear communication with diverse clientele, collaborative relationship-building, and effective direction of clinical support teams.
Strong organisational skills, including time management, workflow prioritisation, and fostering productive partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.Flexibility and openness to new ideas and change with an ability to be innovate and provide creative solutions.
Current and up-to-date knowledge of National Infection Control standards, regulations and guidelines as well as current and up-to-date knowledge of OH&S issues and compliance within the Dental Industry.
Hold current and relevant insurances (professional and public liability).
Excellent computer skills including all MS Office products.
Desirable Selection Criteria
Experience working within teaching clinics or academic settings.Familiarity with advanced orthodontic devices and techniques such as Invisalign or surgical orthodontics.
