Who we’re looking for:
The Head of New Business Operations leads the function responsible for delivering a key growth outcome for FleetPartners; growth in vehicle deliveries and lease settlements. The role encompasses the functions of pricing, purchasing, lease establishment and settlements and includes overseeing and managing the large number of critical suppliers whom we partner with to provide outstanding services to our customers.
Reporting into the COO and a member of the FleetPartners Senior Leadership Team, the Head of New Business Operations is responsible for leading a large team and is a leader of front-line leaders. The role is responsible for providing inspiring leadership to grow and develop a high performing and highly engaged team with a strong customer focus.
The role is also accountable for the identification and implementation of both transformational and continuous improvement initiatives to enable FleetPartners to grow and scale efficiently, whilst ensuring high standards of quality in execution and compliance with applicable regulations and requirements at all times.
As this role is key in delivering critical business outcomes, the role requires a high degree of stakeholder management, influencing and resilience in delivering outcomes.
What you’ll be doing:
Pricing, Purchasing and Settlements Process
Oversee your team’s execution new business process from the time an order is made, to the delivery to the customer and financial settlement of the transaction, ensuring:
- Regularly monitor output against budget and provide reporting, insights and actions to address any gaps.
- Understand demand and ensuring available capacity to meet demand. If there is a surplus or deficit in capacity, putting in place plans to address.
- Regular monitoring of process performance and identifying opportunities to improve.
- Ensuring customer satisfaction with processes and identifying and implementing opportunities to improve.
- Maintaining quality of execution of processes including compliance with credit and funding policies, correctly executed legal documents and accurate data.
Risk, Audit & PPSR Compliance
Responsible for ensuring compliance including:
- PPSR Registry management
- Compliance with funder requirements.
- Audit requests are managed with timely responses.
- Key controls are executed consistently.
- Incidents are appropriately managed with corrective and preventative action taken.
This will be achieved through:
People Leadership
Lead a team to achieve both high engagement and high-performance outcomes. Ensure all team members have clear standards and expectations in place with clear metrics for success, regular feedback and support to grow and develop their skills and capabilities to achieve both business outcomes and the individuals’ career aspirations.Ensure poor performance is addressed in a timely manner.
Continuous Improvement
Deliver a program of continuous improvement that aims to:
- Consolidate activity across brands.
- Align activity into a single system.
- Deliver scale and year or year productivity improvements.
- Enhance quality and reduce the risk of error.
- Improve outcomes for customers and partners.
Do this by ensuring:
- All activity is appropriately documented and mapped according to agreed standards.
- Process execution is monitored on a daily basis to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Establish a direction for implementation of improvement initiatives and develop business cases to secure approval.
- Oversee implementation and embed change delivered.
Stakeholder Management
Work with stakeholders across the end-to-end process, both internally and externally, to:
- Ensure there is transparency on performance and process execution through regular reporting and insights.
- Identify and implement opportunities for improvement.
- Address any changing requirements and ensure processes and procedures are updated accordingly.
- Build open relationships and seek mutually beneficial outcomes.
Requirements
Qualifications / Education- Relevant Degree or Diploma
Previous Experience
Advance experience leading large teams in a similar role in financial services or similar field is required.
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage complex both technical and non-technical change and improvement.
Demonstrated exposure to different customer segments and proven ability to improve customer experience and satisfaction.
Demonstrated commercial acumen and ability to identify solutions to commercial challenges.
Supplier management including procurement, management and monitoring as well as negotiating commercial outcomes.
Technical Skills- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- Excellent communication, both verbal and written
- Lean / Six Sigma experience preferred.
