We are seeking a dedicated and proactive National Health & Injury Management Specialist to support our Line Management and SHE Business Partners. The National Injury Management Specialist is a key leadership role responsible for the strategic development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the organisation's national injury management framework.
This role ensures a consistent and best-practice approach to the prevention, management, and return-to-work of employees who have sustained work-related injuries. The specialist acts as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and support to leadership, line management, and employees on all aspects of injury management.

This position requires a strong understanding of relevant legislation, industry best practices, and a proven ability to drive positive outcomes in injury management and workplace health and safety. You will provide expert advice and support on injury management and early intervention, working collaboratively with various teams to promote a positive SHE culture and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional injury management related advice, guidance and support to all stakeholders at all levels.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders (SHE Business Partners, HR Team, Legal) and external stake holders (regulatory bodies, medical providers, insurers)
  • Collect, analyse, and interpret injury data to identify trends, develop insights, and report on key performance indicators to senior management.
  • Lead, coach and support complex return-to-work processes, in collaboration with employees, supervisors, and medical professionals developing RTW Plans to facilitate safe and timely return to suitable duties.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of proactive injury prevention strategies and early intervention programs to minimise the occurrence and impact of workplace injuries.
  • Engage with management to strengthen commitment to injury management and early intervention.
  • Ensure relevant SHE records and documentation is maintained (e.g., Certificate of Capacity, RTW Plan).
  • Support SHE Business Partners and Line Management with day-to-day claims management.
  • Recognise and promote the commercial benefits of effective injury management.
  • Promote positive behaviours aligned with Rentokil Initial's values.
  • Facilitate meetings between SHE Business Partners, line managers, and injured workers.
  • Ensure timely lodging of claims and follow-up on claim status.
  • Promote an engaging SHE culture based on service, teamwork, and relationships.
  • Any other duties as required by Management.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certificate IV in WHS
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant national and local legislation, regulations, and standards related to workplace injury management and compensation
  • Full driving license
  • Strong IT skills, including Google Office and data management systems.
  • Extensive experience in injury management, occupational rehabilitation, or a related field, preferably in a national or multi-site organisation.
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of the benefits of effective SHE management.
  • Proven ability to present and train.
  • 3+ years of Health & Safety experience in a support role.
