CNC Machinist role available to join our SQS teams and may be assigned in either NSW, QLD, SA, VIC, or WA

To succeed in this position, you will need to have industry related experience within similar positions, a strong work ethic and strong safety focus.
The ability to carry out work with minimal supervision, a keen and enthusiastic approach to your work and willingness to work over time will help you ensure success in this role.
Your duties will include but are not limited to:To operate all equipment ensuring that machinery is kept running to maximum efficiency and that all documentation is completed as required.
To ensure most cost-efficient use of plate, liaising with programmers where necessary.
To mark cut items clearly as per program sheet and store offcuts appropriately.
To assist with loading/unloading of inwards and outwards material.
To ensure machine is maintained correctly conducting any daily checks and any daily maintenance and recording these as required, as well as reporting any repairs and/or maintenance issues to Supervisor.
To ensure drive rails are kept clean and free from damage.
To ensure machine is kept clean, and area around machine is tidy and to assist in general housekeeping of the Workshop, as required or as instructed.
To notify Manager/Supervisor when consumable stock levels are at the specified re-order level.
To notify Manager/Supervisor whenever changing an oxygen pack.
To operate all cranes and lifting equipment as per the Safe Operating Procedures for that equipment
Additional key skills and attributes required for this role include: Trade Qualifications and +5 years relevant experience
Excellent level of experience in CNC Machine operation including profile cutting and drillingKnowledge and ability to read engineering drawings
Bevelling experience
Multi-torch and plasm and oxy cutting experience
Able to work productively, largely unsupervised
Willing to operate new equipment
Knowledge and expertise with steel
Excellent problem solving and reasoning abilities
Reliable, self-motivated with a great work ethic
A self-starter, with an ability to take direction
Excellent problem solver and reasoning abilities
Take pride in your work and your station
Operate forklift (desired but not essential)
