The Role
As the Bar Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the bar, as well as supporting the restaurant and in room dining. Your role will involve managing staff, ensuring customer satisfaction, maintaining a high standard of service, and driving profitability.You'll work closely with the kitchen, front-of-house teams, and senior management to deliver an exceptional experience for every guest. This Bar Manager role is a full-time position.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage a team of food and beverage attendants and supervisors Planning and supervising bar, restaurant and function services Planning and booking entertainment activities Observe liquor, health and other laws and regulations Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations Oversee daily bar operations, ensuring high standards of service and cleanliness.Monitor guest satisfaction and address concerns or complaints swiftly and professionally. Create the cocktail menu, work with wine/beverage suppliers and keep the drinks menu on trend and current Assessing and reviewing guest satisfaction and preferences Maintain inventory levels, place orders, and ensure proper stock management.
Create and maintain staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage during peak times. Assist with hiring, training, and performance management of staff members. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies. Develop and implement strategies to improve bar performance, increase revenue, and reduce costs.
Work with the kitchen team to monitor food quality and consistency. Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports. Foster a positive work culture, promoting teamwork and collaboration. Ensure all outlets are maintained and any property maintenance is carried out in a timely manner
About YOU Proven experience as a Bar Manager or in a similar managerial role within the hospitality industry. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Experience writing and creating drinks menus Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations.
