Key Health is seeking experienced and motivated Senior Medical Receptionists to join our growing network of clinics across Sydney. This is an exciting leadership opportunity to support clinic operations, lead teams, and deliver exceptional patient care.
We are currently recruiting for multiple positions across the following locations:
- Castle Hill – Showgrounds Village (walking distance from Hills Showground Metro)
- Lower North Shore (New Clinic Opening) – This role offers a unique development opportunity, where the successful candidate will be trained to step into a Reception Practice Manager position. Comprehensive training will be provided across Key Health clinics, with some travel required.
About the Role
As a Senior Medical Receptionist, you will work closely with the Practice Manager and clinical team to support the day-to-day operations of the clinic. You will play a key role in leading the reception team, ensuring efficient processes, and maintaining a high standard of patient care and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver exceptional customer service to patients and the broader practice team
- Support the recruitment, onboarding, and training of reception and nursing staff
- Lead and mentor reception staff, ensuring adherence to clinic procedures and workflows
- Oversee daily reception operations and delegate tasks in the absence of the Manager
- Assist with coordination of doctors, registrars, and allied health practitioners
- Respond to staff or patient queries and complaints as required
- Monitor performance and support the achievement of clinic KPIs
- Assist with improving systems and processes to ensure efficient clinic operations
- Support risk management, compliance, and confidentiality obligations
- Assist with rostering awareness, banking reconciliation, and administrative reporting
- Minimum 12 months’ experience as a Medical Receptionist
- Experience in a senior or leadership role within a healthcare environment
- Strong knowledge of Best Practice, Automed, HotDoc, or similar systems
- Understanding of the Australian healthcare system, including Medicare and billing processes
- Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities
- A proactive, team-oriented approach with strong problem-solving ability
