Finance Manager - Leading Sports Retailer

The Role:
The Finance Manager will support the executive team by ensuring financial integrity and delivering actionable insights. The role encompasses management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, payroll, cost accounting, compliance, and business partnering.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and analyze monthly management accounts, balance sheets, and cashflows.
- Complete monthly reconciliations with supporting documentation.
- Develop management packs and provide P&L insights to stakeholders.
- Process payroll and manage compliance reporting (e.g., Payroll Tax, PAYG, Workers Comp).
- Oversee forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow monitoring.
- Manage AP/banking functions and ensure accurate reconciliations.
- Support external audits and ensure compliance with AASB standards.
- Enhance processes, automate reporting, and develop financial controls.
- Conduct store audits in partnership with Operations.
- Provide transactional and peak-period support across the finance team.
- Qualifications: CPA/CA qualified with 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Technical Expertise: Proficient in management accounting, compliance, and reporting, with advanced MS Excel skills. Apparel 21 experience is advantageous.
- Analytical Abilities: Skilled in problem-solving, attention to detail, and interpreting financial data.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Personal Attributes: Highly organized, adaptable, collaborative, and solutions-focused.
