As the Food Safety and Quality Officer, you will be based at our Chefgood site, Keysborough VIC, where we produce ready-to-heat meals in a dynamic food production environment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and safety of our customers by maintaining the highest standards of food quality and compliance with safety regulations.In close collaboration with the Quality, Safety & Sustainability team, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives to uphold our commitment to excellence in food safety.
Your role will include:
- Carrying out routine GMP/GHP verification across production, warehouse, and maintenance areas to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Performing hygiene checks, environmental testing, and equipment inspections to prevent contamination and maintain top-tier food safety.
- Verifying production, CCP, and QCP records to ensure food safety is maintained and standards are consistently met.
- Assisting with internal and external audits, calibrations, and addressing customer complaints.
- Supporting the FSQM team with administrative tasks and documentation management.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure packaging, storage, and dispatch adhere to Chefgood’s standards.
Requirements
This is you:
- A Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in food safety and quality control, with knowledge of HACCP and GMP regulations.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Proven problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
- Experience managing audits and inspections is a plus!
