Panel Beater

Point Cook Collision Repairs are currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Panel Beater to join their team in Truganina Vic 3029.

The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:

• Remove damaged panels and parts and remove upholstery and accessories to gain access.
• Remove dents by hammering panels.
• Straighten damaged vehicles and parts using mechanical and hydraulic equipment.
• Replace badly damaged sections with new or second-hand panels.
• Fill depressions with plastic filler, and filing, grinding, and sanding repaired surfaces.
• Cut and join replacement sections using welding equipment.
• Fit repaired or replacement panels on vehicles and refit body hardware such as door locks and trims.
• Assist vehicle body builders in constructing and restoring custom-designed, vintage, and other specialty vehicles.
• Assists spray-paint vehicles.

Skills & Abilities:

• Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology or equivalent
• Ideally have a minimum of three years’ experience as a qualified Panel Beater
• A strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair
• The ability to work in a team environment.

Salary range is $70,000 - $85,000pa commensurate with experience.
