Indian chef & cook
The Trustee for Anika T/A GURU FINE INDIAN CUISINE, 280 YARRABILBA DRIVE YARRABILBA 4207 QLD ,( ABN-43787932767)looking to immediately fill a permanent full-time position of Chef & cook for our growing Indian restaurant in Yarrabilba. The duties you will be expected to complete in this position include but are not limited to:
Ensure patron satisfaction & experience by delivering dishes as requested Planning and organising menus and ensuring the adequate type and quantity of food is available when preparing meals by ordering the correct food supplies in efficient quantities.
Estimating costs in relation to food and kitchen labour Monitoring dishes, ensuring both preparation and presentation meet the desired standards.
Discussing with Management about implementing changes if necessary and helping other kitchen staff understand cooking procedures to ensure the correct delivery of the final product.
Also advising waiting staff on cooking procedures to ensure understanding of the product. Preparing and cooking food.
Ensuring health regulations are met at all times by all kitchen and waiting staff. Aiding in the selection and training of kitchen staff.
Being responsible for food preservation.
Managing kitchen staff
Pay $74,000 to $80,000/Yr plus Super. We require the following:
Summary of role requirements:
Certificate in Commercial Cookery (Required)
Diploma in hospitality.
Possess at least 1 years’ experience in a similar role
Must have Asian cooking experience .Must be comfortable with fast pace Indian cooking.
Be consistent and able to work well in a team
Be able to work under pressure Work well in a team environment .
Help the head chef with day to day running of the kitchen, Cleanliness is key, and a great attitude
