We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Fitter/Diesel Mechanic or Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment related to power systems.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical faults in machinery and equipment.
- Install, assemble, and test mechanical components and systems.
- Read and Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure precise equipment assembly and repair.
- Work closely with the engineering team to improve equipment performance and reliability.
- Adhere to all safety and compliance regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Complete job reports, including maintenance logs and parts used, in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter (Certificate III or equivalent).
- Proven experience in mechanical fitting, preferably in the power systems or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and engineering drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safety and compliance in the workplace.
- A valid driver’s license.
Desirable:
- Experience with power generation equipment and systems.
- Automotive Mechanic with right attitude and previous relevant experience encourage to apply.
- Knowledge of electrical systems (advantageous but not essential).
- Forklift or other relevant machinery licenses.
