Due to the internal promotion of their current receptionist to an executive role, this permanent position has become available with our client based in Brisbane CBD. Our client is a well-established advisory and investment firm with a strong national presence.

They foster a vibrant internal culture, organizing regular social events and networking opportunities to encourage community and team connection. These include office gatherings, end-of-month drinks, charity events, and firm-wide conferences.

In this Receptionist role, your duties will include managing the front desk and handling tasks including, but not limited to:

  • Managing the front desk and ensuring a welcoming environment for all visitors
  • Opening reception and client meeting rooms, preparing them for daily use
  • Collecting newspapers, restocking items like fruit and milk, and keeping the kitchen clean and tidy
  • Answering incoming calls, transferring them to the appropriate staff, and taking detailed messages when required
  • Greeting and announcing visitors, and preparing tea and coffee for meetings
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of reception, kitchen, and meeting areas, including cleaning the coffee machine at the end of each day and deep cleaning on Fridays
  • Setting up teleconference and video conferencing equipment in meeting rooms, ensuring all equipment and facilities are in working order, and keeping stationery stocked
  • Ensuring the availability of consumables for staff and clients, placing orders as needed, and conducting regular stock takes
  • Liaising with departments on upcoming administration needs
  • Providing backup support to Executive Assistants for document tasks such as scanning, photocopying, faxing, and binding reports and documents

About you:

Ideally, we are seeking someone with at least 1 year of administrative or receptionist experience in a professional environment, where you've handled face-to-face interactions with clients and maintained a high level of professionalism. You will thrive in a supportive role and envision yourself staying in this position for the next couple of years.
