Navorina Nursing Home is in Deniliquin, in the Riverina district of NSW. It is a Not-For-Profit organisation and is a 60 bed high care facility with a dedicated memory care unit (dementia). The facility opened in 1986 and is currently completing a major building upgrade costing some $6 million.
We offer person-centred care services to meet individual needs and preferences where the resident is at the heart of everything we do.
The ideal candidate would be an individual with a genuine caring and compassionate nature who enjoys caring for the elderly.
Role responsibilities:
Provide and coordinate complex care services including chronic disease management, wound care, behaviour support, mental health care assessment and planning, and emotional well-being.
Maintain the initial and on-going assessment, planning and management of nursing care for residents and ensure the individual needs of residents are identified and met.
Review and update resident information to enable the team to provide truly individualised care.
To be considered you will need the following:
The right to live and work in Australia (we are an approved sponsor for 494 visa holders)
Current Nurse Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and empathy to develop rapport with residents and family members.
Working knowledge of quality systems as they relate to the provision of nursing services.
Computer literacy.
Demonstrated ability to supervise a team and provide direction.
