About the role:
The Electrical Services Lead, part of the Operations Engineering team, plays a key role in managing the day-to-day operations of all electrical sub-systems across the CDC ANZ portfolio. This role is responsible for design reviews and documentation related to electrical management systems, while also providing support for commissioning and operations at all CDC locations.The Electrical Services Lead contributes to electrical procedural quality assurance, process management, risk mitigation, and the implementation of industry best practices.
- Collaborate with Dev-Engineering, Facilities, Technical, and ICT teams to deliver optimised Data Centre solutions, supporting growth and scalability.
- Support the Dev-Engineering & Design team by developing documentation, training, and guidance for electrical infrastructure and sub-systems.
- Review tender submissions and For Construction electrical designs in collaboration with external consultants.
- Ensure electrical management systems align with industry best practices and CDC operating standards for critical infrastructure.
- Assist with new projects and upgrades, managing lifecycle processes to maintain the resilience and accuracy of Data Centre electrical systems.
- Work with internal teams and external contractors to resolve electrical performance issues, ensuring effective solutions are consistently applied across the ANZ portfolio.

This role is ideal for someone with proven expertise as an electrical leader in a critical infrastructure environment. You'll use a consultative approach and strong communication skills to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

We’re looking for someone confident in their expertise—able to stand by their decisions and navigate challenges with assurance. As CDC continues to grow, we need someone adaptable and innovative to help drive consistency across all locations.
- Tertiary qualification in engineering or related electrical discipline
- High-Voltage certification/proof of proficiency
- Experience with the development of MOP’s, SOP’s, EOP’s and SWMS’s for planned or break-fix works.
- Extensive experience with Data Centre specific key electrical infrastructure – including Uninterruptable Power Supplied, Electrical Gensets, Site Main Switchboards, Transformers and associated sub-systems.
- Proficiency in MS office, Bluebeam, Navisworks or similar CAD programs is desirable
Essential:
- Australian Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a NV1 Security Clearance.
