The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Audit Specialist, Accountant, Finance Specialist, or Payroll Specialist to join a high-impact payroll remediation project. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this critical role will involve validating payroll entitlements for approximately 1200 employees over the past six years, addressing the complexities of evolving Enterprise Bargaining Agreements (EBAs) and rule changes.
Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the accuracy of data models, reconciling discrepancies, and resolving unique payroll scenarios. This includes managing cases involving role transitions (e.g., casual to permanent), night shift adjustments, and other nuanced scenarios.Ultimately, your work will help prepare the organization for a successful external payroll audit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Validate payroll data against modeled entitlements and ensure consistency in applying a unified rule set.
- Identify, communicate, and resolve discrepancies in payroll data.
- Address complex scenarios, such as employment type changes and varying shifts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance payroll processes and compliance.
- Prepare accurate reports and ensure audit readiness.
