Commercial Finance Analyst
The Commercial Finance Analyst position will report into the Manager – Finance and Tax. This role is responsible for supporting the accounting, management reporting and tax reporting obligations of Iberdrola Australia.
Management Reporting: Prepare month end management reporting including revenue analysis, P&L, personnel costs and capex
Budget and forecasting of OPEX cost centres and capex projectsAssist with system improvements and/or implementations relating to management reporting
Continuous improvement of existing processes and reporting
Other ad-hoc reporting and analysis
Accounting and Financial Reporting:Support in the maintenance of general ledger for Iberdrola Australia’s corporate entities and development project entities
Assist with both local and head office monthly reporting
Assist with the development, implementation and maintenance of a strong financial control environment, process improvements and system enhancement initiatives
Tax
Assist with tax reporting obligations where required, which may include: Monthly GST Returns for various entities.
Monthly Payroll taxYearly FBT Returns.
Yearly Income Tax returns for various entities.
Administration of the companies various ATO tax portals.
Administration of the company’s various tax groups.
Other: As well as having your own areas of responsibility within the
finance team, there is an expectation that you will be available to assist with various projects and ad-hoc requests when required.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Business, Commerce, Finance, or other relevant discipline.
Post-degree qualification (CA or CPA)
Skills: Good written and verbal communication
Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Well organised, pro-active self-starter who can manage a range of competing priorities and projects, including ad hoc requests
A team player and able to work autonomously with minimal supervision
Stakeholder management skills
