Our client is a well-known brand name and established Financial Services group that are currently going through major risk uplifts across the organization.

The Role

The Technology Risk & Controls Manager will be working closely with leadership, and be responsible for the following duties, but limited to:

  • Leading the uplift of IT general controls and business controls across a particular business unit.
  • Conducting in-depth risk assessments on APRA related controls, specifically focusing on critical applications and processes.
  • Executing detailed cloud risk assessments to identify potential hazards and security inefficiencies.
  • Taking charge in controls assurance activities to verify the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls related to technology systems and processes.
  • Leading technology risk and control reviews to ensure the robustness of controls and mitigate any potential risk.
  • Work with all technology units to establish an integrated risk and controls framework.
  • Enhance risk awareness, culture, and risk-based decision making within the organization through training workshops and routine communications.

Role Requirements:

To be successful in this role, suitable candidates will demonstrate strong technology and/or cyber risk experience within a regulated, financial services organisation.
  • Tertiary Qualifications in Business, Risk Management, Finance etc (or related field).
  • Previous experience across IT audit or IT General Controls testing
  • Strong Technology risk experience, covering controls assurance and review, testing, process improvement and risk uplift.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
