From the Owner
Hi! Zowie here. We’re a small, independent business, and I wanted to give you a bit of insight into the role without the dot points. The role is varied. Some days you’ll be leading a full, busy service, other days you might be holding a quieter shift, or working through systems and structure behind the scenes. It’s not a role where you sit above it all, you’re in it, part of it.
If you’re looking for a purely administrative or top-heavy management position, this probably isn’t the right fit.
What I’m looking for is someone who can see the whole room. Someone who naturally notices what needs to be done and steps in at the right time, without being asked. Someone who takes pride in the details, the flow, the feel of the space and keeping the venue looking sharp and the team supported and organised.
Zsa’s means a lot to me, to our locals, and to the people who work here. We’ve built something grounded in care, respect, and showing up for each other. You’ll be supported by me in this role. I’m looking for someone to take on a lot of my responsibilities so I can step back, but right now I’m very much present in the business and will support you closely through your induction. While I’ll be handing a lot over, I also understand that life happens, and there’s flexibility when you need to step away for important things (including the occasional weekend), with support to make that work.
We also have a really strong team in place. A friendly, capable head chef and kitchen crew, and a FOH team who are experienced, supportive, and keen to welcome someone into the role.If you enjoy being hands-on, getting stuck in, and being part of a team in a real way shaping it, supporting it, and helping it grow, I think you’ll feel at home here.
