About the Position:
The Chef position at Tamborine Mountain Coffee Plantation is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic kitchen team, crafting innovative dishes that complement the plantation’s artisanal coffee. This full-time role involves preparing high-quality breakfast, brunch, and lunch menus, with a focus on seasonal, locally sourced ingredients and dietary-friendly options.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including breakfast, brunch, lunch, and share plates, adhering to seasonal menus.
Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and compliance with food safety standards.Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop creative menu items, including gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options.
Manage inventory, minimize waste, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Cater to large groups and events, ensuring timely and efficient service.
Requirements: Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply.Qualifications: Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
Experience: Minimum 1 year of professional experience as a chef in a fast-paced café or restaurant environment.
Strong culinary skills with expertise in modern Australian and fusion cuisines.Ability to prepare dietary-specific dishes (gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian).
Excellent time management and ability to thrive in a high-pressure kitchen.
Teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house staff.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
