Electrical Engineering Technician

Salary : $70,000 - $90,000 a year

This role is vital in supporting the engineering operations and will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and components used in power generation.

• Assist in the installation, assembly, testing, and maintenance of electrical equipment and systems used in power generation, transmission, and distribution.
• Diagnose and repair faults in electrical systems and ensure systems are operating efficiently and safely.
• Interpret electrical diagrams, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and operation of electrical systems.
• Conduct regular inspections and tests on electrical systems to identify and resolve any potential issues or hazards.
• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to modify and improve existing electrical systems to enhance performance.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards and safety regulations in all electrical engineering activities.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance, repair, and testing activities.

• Relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in electrical engineering or a similar role, preferably within the power generation sector.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and the principles of electrical engineering.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and standards in electrical engineering.
