About our client
Our Client based in Morningside specialise in creating and producing fresh ingredients, ready-to-eat salads and fresh convenience foods.
What you'll do
Work along side a team preparing and creating salads, fresh fruit and veg and ready to eat meals:- Preparation: Assemble salad ingredients according to specified recipes and standards.
- Portioning: Accurately measure and portion ingredients into containers.
- Sealing: Seal containers securely to maintain freshness and prevent leakage.
- Labelling: Apply labels to containers with accurate product information, including dates and codes.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality and hygiene standards.
- Sorting: Separate any damaged or non-conforming items for further inspection or disposal.
- Handling: Maintain cleanliness and organization in the packing area to ensure a smooth workflow.
- Machine operating: Operating a variety of food production machines (labelling, cryovac, cutting vegetables).
- Knife Hand: cutting, sorting, and trimming vegetables and salad items.
- Palletising and packing boxes.
- Tray washing with heavy lifting in a wet environment.
- Happy to work in a cold room environment 1-4 degrees
- Have your own reliable transport, unfortunately public transport is limited in this area
- At least 12 months experience in a food production or packing environment.
- Happy to wear personal protective gear
- Available to work 4-5 shifts, up to 40hrs a week spread over a Monday- Saturday roster
- Full Australian working rights.
- 7-8 hr shifts, with opportunity to pick up more
