Your role and responsibilities

ABB Motion Service Division is seeking an experienced Workshop Manager located in Eagle Farm, Queensland. In this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure efficient and cost-effective overhaul and repair results that meet order demand, specifications, quality, and planning targets.

Each day, you will coordinate and manage plant equipment, personnel, and overhaul processes (quantity, quality, budgeted costs, and proper productivity level). You will also showcase your expertise by driving continuous improvement culture and implementation of improvements to achieve service excellence.

The work model for the role is: Onsite

You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Handling day-to-day operations and management of the repair center and the total technical workforce.
  • Creating, implementing, and reviewing workshop operations strategy based on the overall service business strategy.
  • Ensuring customer retention by delivering superior customer service experience in workshop activities.
  • Drives continuous improvement culture to achieve service excellence.
  • Utilizes all resources effectively through planning and scheduling to meet delivery targets.
Qualifications for the role
  • 5 years’ experience working in a similar role leading a Workshop.
  • Experience with electrical motors is highly desirable.
  • Valid Electrical License is preferred.
  • Proficiency in SAP, with skills in inventory management, logistics, and workshop coordination.
  • Strong understanding of OHS and Quality Management principles.
  • Experience in providing technical support.
  • Process Improvement and Project Management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage day-to-day operations effectively.
  • Proven track record in delivering excellent customer service and meeting client needs.
