Nautilus Aviation has a great opportunity for Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers with extensive helicopter experience who are looking to work in the sunny far north Queensland coast in Cairns, Australia.

We have a full-time position available based at our Cairns facility. There is a variety of roster types available for negotiation. As part of the role, you may be required to undertake short duration trips to alternate bases in support of our dynamic and varied fleet.

As a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer for Nautilus Aviation, you will be responsible for:

  • Certifying for line and heavy maintenance on our bell 412 and Bell 212 both at home base and in remote locations when required
  • Certifying for defect rectifications / rectifying breakdowns on our Bell 412 and Bell 212 both at home base and at remote locations as required
  • Supervising AME's and Apprentices on a day to day basis in carrying out maintenance on company aircraft
  • Ensuring all aircraft maintenance is certified and complied with in accordance with company procedures
  • Communicating with HAAMC and operations to ensure all stakeholders are informed of current status of all aircraft

REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in this role as a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you must have:

  • Working rights in Australia
  • Valid Australian Driver’s license
  • CASA recognised qualifications/licence : B412 and/or B212
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer literacy with experience on aircraft computer aided maintenance systems
  • Ability to prioritise tasks efficiently
  • The ability to work as a team player
  • Be a self starter and be able to work individually when required
  • Commitment to a safe work environment
  • Positive attitude
  • Current ASIC and Human Factors qualifications (the company can assist with renewal)

Desirable:

  • Experience with various helicopters including AS350/H125, EC130, 505, Bell 407 / 206L / 206A/B
  • Experience using Computer Maintenance and Management Systems – Aerotrack MRO(Aust) and Air Maestro will be an advantage
  • Forklift ticket
