Our client, a leading company in the infrastructure services sector, is currently undergoing an important phase of system automation and internal restructuring. As part of this transformation, they are seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Payable Officer to support their team temporarily.

This role is perfect for someone with substantial experience in high-volume accounts payable, able to handle the pressures of a fast-paced environment. You will need to be highly self-sufficient and organized, managing your day with minimal supervision as you navigate this critical transition period.

Your role will include, but is not limited to:

  • End-to-End Accounts Payable Processing: Overseeing the full accounts payable function, from invoice receipt to payment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Reconciliation: Performing regular reconciliations of supplier statements, bank accounts, and other financial records to maintain up-to-date and accurate accounts.
  • Expense Management: Handling employee expenses and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Vendor Liaison: Acting as the primary point of contact for vendors, managing inquiries, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining positive supplier relationships.
  • Month-End Support: Assisting with month-end close activities, including accruals, journals, and any other necessary reporting.
  • Process Improvement Participation: Contributing ideas and supporting initiatives aimed at automating and streamlining the accounts payable processes as part of the company's system upgrades.

About you:

  • At least 5 years of accounts payable experience, with 2+ years in a senior or team lead role.
  • Knowledge of MYOB AccountRight is highly valued.
  • Availability to start as soon as possible.
