Farm Workers on Horticulture Properties - ref. h20718403
Our client is based in Robinvale, Victoria and have ongoing horticultural contracts with clients in Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia.
Up to 45 positions are available including 15 in the Riverland region of South Australia, 15 in the Sunraysia region of Victoria and 15 in the Riverina region of Southern New South Wales.
Your duties will involve supervising groups of up to 15-30 workers on various farms with planting, picking and pruning, general irrigation and general farm labour on citrus, almond and other fruit and nut properties. You will be responsible in assisting workers with tasks such as nut harvesting, fruit picking & packing, pegging and un-pegging dripper lines, block detail labour, pulling out tree stakes, removal of tree guards, tree pruning, sanitation and other horticulture tasks as required by farm managers.
Work is expected to commence in June 2025 and is expected to last up to 4 years (48 months). Work You will be paid as a full-time employee in accordance with the Horticulture Award 2020 (the Award). Hours of work can vary depending on the season and weather, but a typical day would be approximately 7:00am to 3:00pm (8 hours).Leave entitlements apply to this position as outlined in the Award.
Applicants will gain skills in basic horticulture processes and will be trained in areas such as farm machinery operation, horticulture processes and other topics relevant to their assigned tasks.

SELECTION CRITERIA: You must be fit and healthy with good stamina and ability to hold and lift heavily loads and work on ladders in accordance with WHS requirements. Ability to work in all weather conditions including early morning starts in frost conditions.Ability to follow instructions and learn and apply new processes quickly. Good hand and eye coordination. Ability to stand and walk on feet for long periods of time. Ability to bend frequently to tend to ground level tasks. Availability to work Monday to Friday and weekends.
Commitment to this position must be for the full term of employment.
Applicants living outside of Riverland (SA), Sunraysia (VIC) or Riverina (NSW) regions must demonstrate a commitment to relocating if required for the duration of the employment up to 4 years (48 months).
