About the Project
This is your chance to join the Cannington team which forms part of the broader South32 Cannington underground operation, 200km from Cloncurry in North-West Queensland. The Cannington Redpath team is over 120 personnel strong and benefit from the job security that comes from a long standing contractual relationship spanning more than 20 years!A near new haulage fleet consisting of primarily CAT equipment handle over 3 million tonnes per annum, while the Redpath crushing plant screens up to 10,000 tonne per day.
The role involves
Working a 7 & 7 roster, 12hr shiftsCarry out scheduled maintenance and breakdown repairs to fleet of underground mobile plant
Fault finding repairing and/or replacing components as required
Maintaining plant and equipment, ensuring compliance with regulations and site requirements
Maintain a clean and tidy workshop
We are looking for
A heavy-duty diesel fitter/mechanic trade qualificationExperience working with underground mining equipment, specifically Sandvik range
Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills
Current First Aid certificate or ability to get prior to commencement
Valid manual drivers licence
