Position Description
We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role you will be responsible for the following (but not limited to):- Assemble and commission new machinery, including verifying components, connections, and alignment.
- Oversee daily production, troubleshoot machine breakdowns, and perform repairs.
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance on production lines, including lubrication and component replacement.
- Establish machine setting standards and analyze production data to optimize performance.
- Train personnel on machine operation and troubleshooting.
- Assess machinery wear and tear, and initiate parts replacement or modification.
- Perform equipment qualifications and update operation manuals, adhering to TGA and food safety standards.
- Conduct pilot tests for new product feasibility and process improvements.
- Develop and implement productivity improvement strategies, including data analysis and process adjustments.
- Create weekly production rosters and ensure adequate staffing.
About You
To be successful in obtaining this role, you will have:- Extensive experience in assembly and commission of new machinery.
- Proficiency in servicing machinery
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures.
- Attention to detail
- Adaptability
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of materials and equipment.
- Organizational skills.
If successful, you will be paid a base salary of $80,000 per annum.
