This role requires in-depth knowledge of Client Lifecycle Management from a functional, technical, implementation and operational perspective. The role will require strong communication and stakeholder management skills in a multi-cultural context.

This is predominantly a client facing role and requires the individual to quickly understand critical client needs, draw on industry best practice and subsequently outline the optimal solutions.

The role will require close interaction with our APAC Head of Sales, APAC Regional Lead for Client Solutions whilst working alongside the Australasia Sales team daily. As a team, you will plan and execute the strategy to best support our prospect needs using the Fenergo platform as the technology of choice.
The Client Solutions Team will provide the detailed technical and functional support throughout the sales cycle including demonstrations of the product, solutioning workshops and senior client level support. Our approach is client-focused and consultative.

The scale of the opportunity means the individual will strive to be self-sufficient for day-to-day presales activities. This is an opportunity for a self-starter who enjoys building teams, working with clients, and solving problems on behalf of our clients.

Similarly, we work closely with our product team identifying gaps and opportunities to directly contributing to the product roadmap and our future success.

What does this role entail?
  • Working Directly with the Regional APAC Client Solutions Lead, Head of Sales for APAC and Australasia sales team, to plan and execute sales opportunities from qualify through to closure within the region.
  • Clearly communicate the product capabilities of the Fenergo platform and aligning these with client specific needs ensuring that the Fenergo application is presented in the best light with new and existing customers through; RFP responses, product demonstrations, solutioning workshops and project scope assessments.
  • Delivering “Proof of Concept” and “Proof of Value” services based on high level specifications with limited details. This includes working closely with our technical teams to deliver these often within a tight deadline.
  • Lead and conduct onsite engagements to understand customer processes, requirements and facilitate architecture / solution discussions to clearly identify the client challenges and opportunities.
  • Work with prospect clients to align their tactical and strategic challenges through implementing the Fenergo product across their organization.
  • Proactively scope the functional and technical requirements to address customer requirements, assesses customers met and unmet needs, and recommends solutions that optimize value for both the customer and the Fenergo.
  • Use knowledge of competitive solutions along with deep financial domain knowledge to help the sales organization to propose the most optimal solution for the customer.
  • Maintain and expand working knowledge of the Fenergo product. Provide feedback to the product organization on enhancements.
  • Take ownership and responsibility for quality and usability of all prospect / client deliverables within Australasia.
Organization & Team collaboration
  • Lead the client solutions team in Australasia to deliver effective and consistent presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Drive best practice adoption within the Australasia team and APAC region.
  • Drive improvements by identifying opportunities for delivery efficiencies, whether process or tooling related, resolving, and rolling out to the APAC and global team.
  • Play a key role in shaping the Australasia region feeding into the Global Client Solutions Strategy.
  • Effectively manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines, prioritizing conflicting demands, organize time and resources to deliver solid and consistent results for the business and bring assignments to successful close.
  • Working with global team members and cross functional teams including professional services, product engineering, sales, and product management to achieve deadlines and meet client expectations.
  • Feeding details of technical improvements into the Product and Engineering Teams.
  • Ensures that sales and professional services organizations are properly aligned to achieve client and sales objectives.
  • Build strong relationships within the project team, client teams and internal product management team.
  • Keep abreast of product, regulatory and industry changes.
  • Direct line management responsibilities for Australasia team members.
  • Work Closely with other Regional Teams on Global Enterprise Accounts.
  • Support employee development through development of own expertise, both product and industry related, and sharing knowledge through training and mentoring.
  • Drive employee development agenda, supporting team members realize their goals.
  • Demonstrate honesty within the team, keep commitments and behave in a consistent manner.
  • Directing, mentoring, and coaching of other staff members.
Desired Experience
  • 7+ years of experience with proven success in software sales to financial services industry
  • Strong sales experience in A/NZ working with complex customers and segments of their business, across all levels if stakeholders, include C-level executives.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills build trusted internal and external relationships.
  • Results driven, self-starter that can excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Dynamic interpersonal skills are a critical success factor for this role, including assertiveness, impactful communication style with ability to influence actions/business decisions, high energy level with a bias for action, high credibility/respect from colleagues, and an enthusiastic attitude.

Skills that could make the difference.

The is Australia based (Sydney). But It will require regular travel to work face-to-face with our clients and prospect clients across greater Australia and New Zealand.

The role reports into the Regional Head APAC Client Solutions with a matrix reporting line to the Global Head of Client Solutions based in London and the Head of APAC Sales in Sydney.
