THE ANNANDALE HOTEL is a well-known local in the inner-west region of Sydney NSW that has recently undergone a major refurb and upgrade.
We off er a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces for dining and drinking with family or friends and a newly-expanded function area for all types of events and celebrations. We are open 7 days for lunch and dinner and believe in providing our patrons with more than just food and drink - we off er a complete social and entertainment experience.
We off er a wide range of pub classics, including snacks, mains and desserts, with a regularly-updated menu and changing weekly 'Chef's Menu' specials for something different. Our menu showcases local seasonal produce and all food is prepared freshly onsite.
We are looking for an experienced CHEF DE PARTIE to join the kitchen team at The Annandale Hotel. The Chef de Partie will be part of an extensive kitchen team that is responsible for creating amazing meals, ensuring the highest level of service and the smooth operation of all daily kitchen activities.
As Chef de Partie at The Annandale Hotel, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting kitchen & front-of-house staff to ensure the consistent delivery of great food to all customers;
- Management of the relevant kitchen section while on shift;
- Supervising & guiding junior kitchen workers;
- Assisting senior chefs to plan menus & create new menu options;
- Financial & cost management as required;
- Ordering supplies & stock management;
- Quality control of food production, plating & presentation;
- Preparing & cooking all menu items;
- Ensuring all staff adhere to hygiene, food safety & WHS requirements;
- Assisting with the training & development of junior kitchen workers; and
- General kitchen operational duties.
Full-Time Salary: $70,000 to $80,000
To be considered for this position, you will need to demonstrate the following skills & attributes:
- Trade qualifications as a Chef;
- At least 2-3 years' experience at minimum CDP level;
- Experience in a similar-style venue;
- Experience with designing/creating new menu items;
- Experience sourcing & using fresh local/seasonal produce;
- A passion for food & cooking;
- Kitchen leadership & management skills;
- Cooperation skills & the ability to work well within a team;
- Ability to train/guide junior workers;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Exceptional time management & organisational skills;
- A structured, methodical approach to the work; and
- The desire to cook the most delicious food.
