Our client, Gurjess Grewal Pty Ltd trading as AusTech Batteries and Car Repair, is a growing automotive repair and maintenance business located in Ravenhall, Victoria. The business specialises in mechanical repairs, vehicle servicing, battery replacement, diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and general automotive repair services for a wide range of passenger and light commercial vehicles.

Due to continued business growth and increasing customer demand, AusTech Batteries and Car Repair is seeking a qualified and motivated Motor Mechanic to join its professional workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mechanic to further develop their career within a supportive and customer-focused automotive business.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic testing to identify mechanical, electrical and performance-related vehicle faults.
- Carry out scheduled servicing and maintenance on passenger and light commercial vehicles.
- Inspect, diagnose, repair and replace mechanical components including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering systems and suspension components.
- Conduct battery testing, battery replacement and charging system inspections.
- Perform engine tune-ups, cooling system repairs and fuel system servicing.
- Utilise diagnostic scan tools and workshop equipment to identify and rectify vehicle faults.
- Conduct pre-delivery inspections, road tests and post-repair quality assurance checks.
- Maintain accurate service records and complete repair documentation.
- Communicate effectively with management regarding repair requirements, parts requirements and vehicle conditions.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
- Maintain workshop cleanliness and ensure compliance with workplace health and safety procedures.
- Assist with general workshop operations and contribute to maintaining high customer satisfaction standards.
- Certificate III/ IV in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent Australian-recognised qualification.
- Minimum one year of relevant experience as a Motor Mechanic.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities across a range of vehicle makes and models.
- Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, batteries and vehicle diagnostics will be highly regarded.
- Ability to use modern diagnostic equipment and workshop tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy workshop environment.
- Understanding of workplace safety requirements and safe workshop practices.
