We are currently looking for a Mechanical Engineering Technician.Join our team and be part of a company that keeps industries moving!
Main Responsibilities:- Perform regular servicing and maintenance on heavy commercial vehicles, including trucks, trailers, and other fleet vehicles.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in vehicles using diagnostic equipment and manual inspection techniques.
- Conduct repairs to engines, transmission systems, braking systems, suspension, and other essential vehicle components.
- Ensure that all maintenance tasks are completed in accordance with manufacturer specifications and regulatory standards.
- Replace worn or damaged parts, including engines, gearboxes, and other key components.
- Conduct road tests on vehicles after repairs to ensure functionality and performance.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections performed on each vehicle.
- Comply with all relevant safety procedures and industry regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with the Workshop Supervisor and other team members to prioritize and schedule maintenance tasks.
- Assist in the troubleshooting and rectification of emergency breakdowns when required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment.
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in vehicle technology and repair techniques.
- Trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering Technician or at least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar environment.
- Proven experience in the servicing, maintenance, and repair of heavy commercial vehicles
- Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to work with advanced diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations relevant to vehicle maintenance.
Salary: $80k - $90k pa
