CREAM & SUGAR PTY LTD trading as Catering HQ Brighton Lakes is looking for a full time Retail Manager (General) / Restaurant Manager.Tucked into the Brighton Lakes Recreation & Golf Club in Moorebank, the Pavilion Restaurant (and associated Sweet Spot café) offers a relaxed yet refined dining experience with sweeping views over the lush golf course and lake. Operated by Catering HQ, the venue features a large balcony that captures the picturesque greens, ideal for lunch, dinner, or casual dine-in with friends.
The menu leans contemporary Australian, with a mix of café-style options in the Sweet Spot (think market fish, croque-monsieurs, etc.) and more substantial dining in the Pavilion, including shared plates, set menus, buffets, and casual à la carte choices.The Pavilion is open seven days, with lunch and dinner hours, and offers function-friendly spaces with great natural light and views, making it a destination for family meals, casual meetings or events.
To be considered for the role you need to have a relevant industry qualification and at least 1-2 years' experience in a similar position.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE- Manages the daily operations of retail establishments
- Manages and supervises staff, including hiring, rostering, training and performance evaluation
- Develops and implements policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations
- Monitors and analyses sales and financial data
- Manages retail establishment finances, including budgeting and financial reporting
- Develops and maintains relationships with suppliers, and negotiates contracts and pricing
- Implements marketing and promotional activities to attract and retain customers
- Resolves customer complaints and ensures high levels of customer satisfaction
- Arranging the purchasing and pricing of goods according to budget
- Ensuring dining facilities comply with health regulations and are clean functional and of suitable appearance
- Conferring with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals and service
- Service recovery
- Creating service standard templates and standard operating procedures
- Controlling, selecting, training and supervising staff
- Taking reservations
- Meet, great and seat guests
- Assist in taking orders
- Assist with staff hiring and training
- Assist with planning menus and special dietary requirements for guests
- Discuss customer requirements with the culinary team.
- Determining product mix, stock levels and service standards
- Formulating and implementing purchasing and marketing policies, and setting prices
- Promoting and advertising the establishment's goods and services
- Selling goods and services to customers and advising them on product use
- Maintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions
- Undertaking budgeting for the establishment
- Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
