About the role
The Group Co-ordinator role was established in 2023 and takes the lead in co-ordinating and delivering a broad range of groups in Eastern Health ICYMHS. The Group Co-ordinator works closely with the Groups Clinician, and clinicians from ICYMHS Community and Specialist Teams to review and develop the groups delivered and plan a program that meets the needs of the children, young people and families accessing a service through ICYMHS.The successful incumbent will have considerable experience in delivery of infant, child and youth mental health services and provision of group therapy. The position is located in Ringwood and groups have predominately been delivered from this site but there is opportunity to deliver groups from other ICYMHS sites based on needs and space.
The groups being delivered include, but not limited to, Tuning into Kids®, Tuning into Teens®, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy Skills, Neuro-Affirming parent and young person groups, Multi-family Therapy for Anorexia Nervosa, Recovery Based groups and Circle of Security.There is an opportunity to run a combination of manualised, therapeutic and skills-based groups over the course of the program.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- An Occupational Therapist, Mental Health Nurse or Clinical Psychologist registered with AHPRA, Social Worker eligible for AASW membership.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in your field.
- Significant Infant, Child and Youth Mental Health experience
- Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience
- Program and group development experience
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Vaccination against infectious disease is a mandatory requirement of this role. An offer of employment is conditional on you providing evidence that you are currently vaccinated against COVID-19 with booster & Influenza, prior to commencing employment.
