Senior Accountant - Robert Half

The Role
You will provide a range of accounting services to support outstanding operational performance. Your role will ensure the organisation is compliant with relevant legislation and accounting standards whilst also supporting a range of stakeholders with key financial advice and analysis.
Supporting the Manager for Financial Reporting and the CFO on some key projects and improving capability across finance.
Duties will include;- Lead the review end of month processes including journals, accruals, investment accounting, monthly cut-offs for billing, payables and reconciliations
- Lead the coordination of year end activities, external and internal audits including preparation of annual financial statements
- Build strong relationships with grant program managers to ensure accuracy and completion of grant program deferred income and program acquittal lodgements
- Provide timely, relevant, accurate and reliable information to the Manager Financial Reporting ensuring accuracy of the general ledger for the Group entities
- Work closely and collaboratively with finance partners to deliver accurate and timely information for decision making purposes
- Undertake and review end of month processes including journals, accruals, payroll accounting, grant and deferred income, investments, monthly cut-offs and month-end account reconciliations
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities that will provide the organisation with improved finance business knowledge and ensure best practice;
Your Profile
As a CA/CPA qualified accounting professional, you will have a minimum of 5 years of relevant and demonstrable experience in an accounting position. With outstanding communication skills, a strong technical skillset and a growth mindset, you will have all of the tools required to make this role your own.
Experience working in a Non-Profit organization is desirable experience. Having experience of working in External Audit or a Chartered Accounting firm will also be advantageous.
Demonstrated success in providing key analysis, insights and decision support will be beneficial. Experience in using Netsuite is advantageous but not essential.
