Panel Beaters

A&L Smash Repairs are currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Panel Beater to join their team in Mackay QLD.

The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:

• Remove damaged panels and parts, and remove upholstery and accessories to gain access
• Remove dents by hammering panels
• Straighten damaged vehicles and parts using mechanical and hydraulic equipment
• Replace badly damaged sections with new or second-hand panels
• Fill depressions with plastic filler, and filing, grinding and sanding repaired surfaces
• Cut and join replacement sections using welding equipment
• Fit repaired or replacement panels on vehicles and refit body hardware such as door locks and trims
• Assist vehicle body builders in constructing and restoring custom-designed, vintage and other specialty - vehicles
• Assist spray-paint vehicles

Skills & Abilities:

• Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology or equivalent
• Ideally have a minimum of three years’ experience as a qualified Panel Beater
• A strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair
• The ability to work in a team environment

Salary range is $70,000-$85,000pa commensurate on skills and experience
