About the Company
Timber Distributors is a leading wholesale timber supplier based in Lake Macquarie NSW. We source timber from Australia and NZ - supplying to local stores on the Central Coast, Sydney, Newcastle, South Coast and North Coast. We are also the exclusive distributor for a number of leading composite brands which we service interstate.
About the Role
We are looking to fill a role in Wholesale Administration & Sales, this is an office job working together as part of a small team. The position would suit an all rounder who enjoys a mix of customer service, sales and administration.

Key responsibilities:

  • Answering incoming calls and emails from customers
  • Supporting sales efforts by making business-to-business calls
  • As part of team perform administrative tasks such as processing orders, invoicing, organising truck loads, liaising with the warehouse staff for packing orders / deliveries etc.
  • Responding professionally & knowledgeably about our range of products. (With training)
  • Develop long term relationships with key customers

Our ideal applicant:

  • Has worked previously in a sales, customer service, or administration role.
  • Has basic math skills and a general understanding of costs & sales to make a profit
  • Has a friendly and engaging phone manner
  • Is a team player - enthusiastic to contribute to the success of the business
  • Has exceptional organisational skills, a high attention to detail and good time management
  • Can use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook/Thunderbird
  • (Optional) Experience within related industries i.e. wholesale, building, hardware stores, timber, transport, logistics etc would be very highly regarded
  • (Optional) Having a degree or TAFE qualifications would be highly regarded
Location: At our office in the Morisset Business Park, near Lake Macquarie.
Salary Range: $60,000 to $75,000 p.a. + Super + Performance Bonus
