Restaurant Manager
The Client
Hwaro92 Korean BBQ Restaurant located in Robina in QLD is a well-known restaurant specialising in authentic Korean BBQ cuisine. They are an established and popular restaurant in the area with a reputation for excellent food of high quality. They are now looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to join their business.
The Role
You will be tasked with leading and managing the various staff as well as the overall operations of the restaurant. This is a full time role with an annual salary set at $77,000 plus superannuation.
Responsibilities
To arrange table reservations, group bookings or catering orders
To ensure staff knowledge of food and drinks menu and provide recommendations
To oversee stock levels and order supplies
To control cash register and payments
To prepare and report sales and manage financial records
To monitor and manage budgets
To contribute to menu planning, coordinating and pricing
To coordinate staff recruitment and provide adequate staff training
To roster and supervise staff shifts
To monitor and ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations
To maintain high standards of customer service and foods provided at the restaurant
To develop positive relationships with customers and increase customer loyalty
To manage customer service
To monitor, plan and implement business operations and systems to improve efficiency including promotion and marketing of the restaurant
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have:
Relevant Diploma qualifications in hospitality management or equivalent
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Restaurant Manager within an operation of a similar profile is essential
Must have at least 3 years of menu planning experience including cost control and planning menu to budget
Must have at least 3 years of menu planning experience including cost control and planning menu to budget
Must have at least 3 years of people management and hospitality team leading experience
At least 3 years’ experience in supplier liaison for restaurant operations
At least 3 years’ experience ensuring compliance with HACCP, liquor licensing, and WHS regulations.
At least 3 years’ experience in financial management, sales analysis, and profit optimisation
Proven ability to lead and manage a team in a busy restaurant environment
Proven experience working with POS systems and cash handling at a store level
Demonstrated and verifiable prior experience
Excellent people and time management skills - ability to work with international staff
Excellence in delivering quality customer service and customer satisfaction ratings including brand standards
Full availability to work on weekends
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Ability to balance high volume periods and peak service times
