Service Technician

Key Accountabilities

• Adhere to Site safety required standards.
• Adhere to Wind farm performance standards.
• Undertake wind farm installation and commissioning activities as required;
• Undertake scheduled service and reactive maintenance on as required basis;

Position Activities:

• ensuring that each task is undertaken in a manner that ensures the safety of personnel, protects the environment and work methods are followed at all times;
• undertaking the Site Induction;
• undertaking the requirements of the SMP;
• reporting all incidents, accidents or near misses;
• reporting opportunities for continuous improvement;
• complying with the duty of care assigned under OH&S legislation and demonstrate commitment to accident prevention;
• observing all work instructions, procedures, safety codes of practice, employer OH&S and Environmental requirements and statutory rules and regulations;
• wear the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE);
• participating in safety, toolbox or other meetings where required;
• All other duties within their competence, skill, qualifications and experience as directed.

Experience: (Types of experiences expected or required to successfully carry out the position, e.g. specific industry experience)

• 2-3 years experience in working in a mechanical or electrical trade environment, preferably working with WTGs.
• Experience working within a team.
• Experience working in remote locations.

• Safety has a high priority and you work proactively to reduce risks and irregularities to ensure the safety of yourself and others
• Trouble shooting - Ability to identify and define source of problems through a logical process and identify and evaluate possible solutions based on facts and sound judgment that mitigate the problem whilst ensuring delivery of required outcomes
• Ability to travel and work offsite
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Must pass physical medical exam

• This position requires travel from time to time to attend training
