The role is with a leading International Bank based in the Sydney CBD. Due to continued growth a newly created position for a Senior Operational Risk Manager has been created to ensure the critical review of the internal controls framework and ensure the organisations regulatory adherence.This company has an excellent culture driven by a clear vision and have established a diverse and inclusive environment, a supportive team environment and a broad role that gives great opportunities for development and progression.
The Role
This role will report directly to the Head of Risk you will have duties including but not limited too:
- Review and maintenance of the banks operational risk frameworks
- Developing and mapping implementation of new controls to ensure key deliverables.
- Conducting deep dives for exposed control weaknesses
- Maintaining effective key stakeholder relationships across multiple teams and at all levels.
- Experience with APRA regulated entities and prudential standards
- An understanding of controls frameworks, ideally in Financial Services.
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal in both English and Mandarin
- Ability to drive change, implement a process, or make a change to one. Show the ability to add value and impact.
