Our client, Personalised Support Services, is a trusted NDIS service provider based in Dandenong, Victoria, committed to delivering exceptional support to individuals with disabilities. Specialising in core supports, support coordination, supported accommodation, and group activities, the organisation is dedicated to walking alongside participants and their families to ensure they receive the services and care they deserve.

With a reputation for trust and reliability, Personalised Support Services is looking for a full-time Accountant to join their growing team. The Accountant's role is overseeing financial transactions in the aged care sector, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting efficient financial management.

This includes managing payroll, expenses, claims, invoices, reimbursements, and assisting the Team Leader in financial transactions. The role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

The annual salary for this position is $90,000 to $100,000 plus superannuation.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement accounting systems, policies and procedures.
  • Document all financial transactions and ensure the accuracy, safety, and compliance of record keeping.
  • Prepare accounts, tax returns, business activity statements, FBT, and other compliance matters.
  • Plan, preparation and execution of financial statements with appropriate note disclosures.
  • Assist the Managing Director in developing the budget and benchmarking.
  • Prepare information for financial statements and tax returns.
  • Monitor cash flow, operation costs, and financial risks.
  • Advise management on cost control and improvement initiatives.
  • Liaise with the ATO and other government departments.
  • Prepare reports and /or presentations to the Director and management by collecting, analysing, and summarising accounting information and trends and reviewing current business and financial conditions.
  • Perform month-end close, processing relevant journals, general ledger and bank reconciliation, balance sheet, intercompany processing, revenue analysis, and statutory accounts production.
  • Assist management with relevant ASIC reports and Statutory tax-related compliance.
  • Contribute towards process improvement and implementation and ensure client confidentiality and privacy

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Should have at least three (3) years of experience in a similar setting.
  • Understanding of issues facing the disability sector.
  • Experience in working with the disadvantaged and people with disabilities.
