Cooks/Chefs
Our client, ERINFAIR PTY LTD T/AS Bunbury Farmers Markets, is currently seeking experienced Chefs and Cooks to join their kitchen team at two locations: Glen Iris (Bunbury Farmers Markets) and Vasse (Vasse Village by Bunbury Farmers Market).
The Job Role
Duties & Responsibilities- Demonstrate understanding of food preparation and production in the kitchen whilst taking direction from the Head Chef to ensure smooth operation of all kitchen duties.
- Ensures the consistency of all menu items regardless of time of day or period of service
- Liaising with Chefs, Cooks and Kitchen Assistants to achieve smooth delivery of food to guests
- Operation of kitchen equipment to achieve required results for ala carte and function service
- Work with the Head Chef to advance and improve current food operations
- Has understanding of stock control and works together with the kitchen team to minimize wastage
- Compliance and understanding of food safety policy and procedures (HACCP)
- Previous commercial kitchen experience is required for these roles – ideally at least 2 years of experience
- All relevant experience will be considered and for applicants with a relevant Australian trade certificate or qualification / training, less experience will be considered
- A positive, friendly, and enthusiastic attitude and ability to work well in a team
- The ability to excel under pressure in a high-volume environment with excellent problem-solving skills
- Well developed communication and team skills
- Attention to detail with a focus on consistency
The Annual Salary is $75,000 - $80,000 commensurate to qualifications, skills, & experience.
